M36 Meeting

The seventh and final meeting of the NanoDome project was held in Cambridge on 05 September 2018, directly following the end-user workshop.

The meeting summarised all the key achievements from the individual work packages, followed by a detailed feedback from the External Advisory Board. In combination with the end-user workshop, this three-day event helped the NanoDome project team actively engage in the dissemination of the project activities and results to a wider audience.

NanoDome User-Conference

A two-day workshop was organized and hosted by UCAM and CMCL in Cambridge at Møller Centre, from 03 to 05 September 2018. The end-user workshop was attended by the NanoDome project team, some members of the EMMC as well as external participants. Two members of the EAB also participated and presented their work during the workshop.

Day 1 started with a welcome and introduction from CMCL, following which the NanoDome project scope and overview was provided by UNIBO. Starting with the atomistic modelling perspectives CNR shared their key results and capabilities for the Si, ZnO and Pt/Al2O3 nanomaterials. CMCL's presentation entitled, "Role of chemical kinetics in nanomaterial synthesis", covered not only the salient results from the NanoDome project, but also their software use cases related to nanoparticle emissions from vehicles. UDE's state-of-the-art measurement systems (hot wall reactors, microwave plasma, etc.) and measurement techniques were described and Day 1 ended with a NanoDome industrial user perspectives shared by UMICORE, with the Si nanoparticles synthesis highlighted.

The morning of Day 2 focused on the NanoDome software demonstration and code structure presentation from UNIBO. The inputs and contributions from the partners to the NanoDome software were also emphasized by the project coordinator. The kinetics and MoDS software toolkits from CMCL, and in particular the advancements that were realized as a result of the work performed in the NanoDome project were presented. As part of the EAB, Prof. Shigeta delivered an engaging talk on nanosafety relevant to the welding processes. The subsequent session was dedicated to demonstrations and results presented by the Composelector project, VIMMP project as well as the marketplace and FORCE projects. Day 2 concluded with a presentation on the actions and activities of the EMMC and a thorough presentation on the EMMO by UNIBO.

M30 Meeting

The sixth meeting of the NanoDome project took place at CNR in Pisa on 9th-10th of April 2018.

M24 Meeting

The fifth meeting of the NanoDome project was held at the European Commission in Brussels on 05 October 2017.

M18 Meeting

The fourth meeting of the NanoDome project was held at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) on 23rd-24th of March 2017. The meeting was included in the framework of a joint symposium between the NanoDome and UDE on 21st-22nd of March 2017. This was an excellent opportunity to communicate the NanoDome project to a large academic and industrial audience. At the symposium, the project partners gave an overview of their activities in the context of the NanoDome project with Prof. Emanuele Ghedini explaining the details of the project and its main goals. After the symposium, the NanoDome M18 Project Meeting took place where each of the partners gave an update about the recently completed deliverables, the status of the current activities and an overview of the upcoming tasks. We were also very pleased to have the members of the External Advisory Board from US and Japan and the EU project coordinator attending both the symposium and the NanoDome meeting and providing useful insights and scientific guidance.

Nanodome Work-Meeting in Cambridge

Cambridge, 7th-8th November 2016

A technical NanoDome meeting was held on 7th-8th of November, 2016 in Cambridge. It was a two-day workshop, in a form of an open discussion, about potential ways to integrate different toolkits being developed in the NanoDome project.

NanoDome M12 Meeting

Brussels, 22nd-23rd September 2016

The third meeting of the NanoDome project was held on 22nd-23rd of September, 2016 in Brussels. Each partner presented the recently completed deliverables, the status of the current activities and an overview of the upcoming tasks.

M6 Meeting

The second meeting of the NanoDome project was held on 21st-22nd of March, 2016 in Cambridge.

The main objective of the meeting was to give an update on the project activities, to present main deliverables and to discuss future steps. The meeting coincided with the first External Advisory Board meeting with members from USA and Japan attending, providing useful insights and scientific guidance. The latest achievements and results were presented by all involved partners and critically discussed.

Kick-Off Meeting of the NanoDome Project

The Kick-Off Meeting of the NanoDome project was held in Bologna, Italy on the 8th and 9th October 2015 and was attended by 17 participants. During the first part of the meeting, opened by the welcome of the Vice Rector for Research of University of Bologna, the coordinator presented a summary of the project. The meeting was followed by six sessions in which, after a presentation of the legal, administrative and financial management of the project, the main scientific activities of the work plan were presented and discussed, with a particular focus on the first year research activities.
